First attempt at cooking with the little Napolean barbeque…….asparagus in the Griswold bacon pan.

We had to (!) buy some avocado oil to cook with…mostly because it was the only small bottle that was not glass..( weight and breakability being important features in our new lifestyle……

Had to finish the day testing the water in our current hosts and friends pool……cold going in but lovely end to another perfect day….

May 28th……coming to the end of the sort and set-up

Rainy day Friday

Back to the construction of the blog for me.

Its been an odd couple of weeks….between getting the house finally empty, doing the last bits of sorting of the boxes we literally threw into the truck in the last couple of days …..to the oddly easy transition into our new……very lovely home….

We have the last couple of boxes to tetris in to the storage unit, and the next few weeks I am quite sure will involve a lot of “where the heck is the……..?”…but we are very happy with how easy the transition has been…..and how liberating it has been to get rid of so much “stuff”.

So bear with me over the next couple of weeks as i try to fix all the buttons to make the site more navigable and, hoepfully, as we are able to travel to share some cool stuff……..

April 15

love this picture……old home in the background…new home in the foreground…!!!

It was a stressful drive home yesterday. A long day of orientation then the drive home pulling this shiny bauble for the first time (not me driving…!!) on the 401 from London at 5pm……Hairy traffic……

The guy who did our driving “lesson” pointed out that we are the same width as a transport truck….so if a transport fits through …so will we….

its going to be a bit of an adjustment switching lanes..(we are 56 feet long in total)…but you cant learn until you try…!!!

Just love this thing….shes soooooooo pretty…!!!!

APRIL 14

She’s ours

After a loooooong day at CanAm RV….having our orientation and all the hitch adjustment (shes all polished and waxed…!!!) we finally get to take this baby home…..

Wait a minute….this is our home now….so pleased and happy ..I love how its so shiny you can see my reflection on the side of the trailer
